Joint Venture with STV to support the Progressive Design-Build project through all phases of construction
PITTSBURGH, March 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services, today announced that the firm has been selected by the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) to provide construction management and inspection (CMI) services for the Francis Scott Key Bridge Reconstruction. As part of a joint venture (JV) with STV, Michael Baker will support the Progressive Design-Build (PDB) project through all phases of construction. The project involves the replacement of the approximately 2.3-mile-long Francis Scott Key Bridge, which carries Interstate 695 (I-695) over the Patapsco River between Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
